RPM has a rebuild kit for the points in the pump and there are other LOT cheaper pumps to use. It is just a very low pressure 12 volt fuel pump. Might check out a Federal pump 40104 or 40105. Or Fuel Flow 0151 ?

I haven't looked at any of these pumps personally. If you look at them then pay attension to the inlet/outlet, mounting and electrical plug as they might require some modification. It is just information I have stumbled across along the way. IMO I would in no way buy a new Yamaha pump from a dealer unless it was the last place on earth that had one. And I would be pissed !If on "Flea bay" all the following pumps would probably adapt on or at least be worth looking at:

I have tried two of these pumps both of which have left me having to ride home in gravity mode. I would not recommend them to anyone.. I have gone back to the stock pump and have been fine ever since.. just a heads up..

All the listed pumps below will work. So wll any others that you find and can fit in the alloted space that are "low-pressure" units. You do NOT want a pump that is for a fuel injection system.

Cliff notes: YZF600R (97-02) fuel pump is identical, 99-02 R6 unit will work, maybe $100 new, maybe $40 used.
Parts from RPM Randy (posts here on this site) are much more reasonable than your local dealer.
