You can also click 'Recent Changes' in the sidebar to find pages they may have just been created. Some pages may just be a link/links to useful information that should be assimilated and sourced into an article—don't be afraid to dive in and do it yourself! Changes can always be reverted, so there's no risk of permanent harm. (How to edit this site)

Like Wikipedia, this website is editable by anyone. The goal is to create a place where all of the information spread throughout all the threads on the FJowners.com Forums (and the rest of the web, and old magazines and flyers, and wherever else you may find relevant information) can be easily found and streamlined. (After all, how many times do you get sick of telling people to search the forums?)

Here, anyone can add pictures to anyone else's articles, and instead of commenting on what could have been added or what you disagree with later on, requiring pages and pages of reading (and searching!), it can all be continually refined in one place.

Disagreements? Questions about an article? Write your question or differing opinion directly on the page.

Edit aggressively. If you aren't sure about something, try adding the question onto the page itself, to be edited by someone else more knowledgeable later.

So join on here with the same username you use on the forums, and edit away! If you do research on a topic, please check in here and either create a page with the links you found, or if you're feeling generous, a walkthrough or some pasted text that you found helpful!

How to create pages:

Main page: How To

Just to the left, in the sidebar, there is a section called "pages." You can type in a page there, and click "new page" to begin making it.

Alternatively: right now you can see in the address bar that you are at "fjowners.wikidot.com/start". Replace "start" with whatever page you want to create, and it will take you to a new page and give you the option to edit it! So, if I wanted to make a page on the FJ transmission, I would type "FJowners.wikidot.com/transmission" (always use "-" in place of spaces) and press enter, and then click 'create page' on the page it brings me to.

Need parts?

RPM, run by Randy, likely has what you need. He's known for great service, great advice, and reasonable prices. He's also known for custom designing and arranging manufacturing for parts for our bikes. A search on the forums shows no shortage of satisfied customers.

Featured Article: moditus

One of the great things about the FJ is all of the modifications available for it. Yamaha designed the FJ in direct response to consumer studies conducted in advance showing that people wanted a bike they could work on themselves; as a result, the aftermarket options for this bike continue to grow, and bolt on parts from other bikes abound. Here's a list of mods performed on the FJ!

Featured Article: forks

Probably the most common major mod for the FJ is a fork swap or upgrade. Learn about your options here.

Featured Article: lighter

There's no getting around it—the FJ is a heavy bike. At least, that's how it was made. With some fairly straightforward mods, it's easy to lose 60 lbs… and for the track racer, a weight below 430 pounds is possible.

Featured Article: reviews

A collection of various reviews of the various FJ's throughout time. Already sizeable—add more!
